We started First Door because our big agency manager was unresponsive, maintenance forgotten, and for this terrible service we were paying 8.5%.
We did some research and found that our experience was not rare so we decided to do something about it.
Our family has built units across Auckland and we decided to manage them ourselves. Our friends then wanted us to manage their units, and in 2026 we decided to expand to other landlords who are looking for great service at a fair price.

Neil (Nick's brother) is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of professional audit experience. He keeps our accounts perfectly balanced and ensures your monthly statements are simple, accurate, and paid on time.

Property Manager
Leona coordinates our routine property inspections and tenant viewings. She treats every tenant with respect and ensures that homes are kept dry, healthy, and compliant with all tenancy regulations.
Our Simple Philosophy
We don't hide behind automated templates or pass you off to junior staff. We believe in clear talk, quick action, and total transparency:
- No Invoice Markups: When a toilet leaks, we send our trusted plumber. You pay exactly what they charge us. No Markups.
- Direct Access: Nick is contact point.. If there's an emergency, you'll speak directly to him directly.
- Respect for Tenants: We believe that happy, respected tenants look after homes better. We build friendly relationships on both sides.
- 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If you switch to us and aren't completely happy with our service in the first 90 days, we'll refund all management fees paid and help you move to a new management company. Not a single landlord has used this guarantee.
